ABOUT MY STUDIO AND WORKSHOPS

The Art Studio was formed is 2005 from which Eric uses to do all of his own animal and wildlife paintings and drawings.

Workshops take place in the studio used for coaching and teaching classes. These have rapidly grown in popularity and now has over 50 members. 

Eric's aim is to develop each individuals own style using different mediums and develop their skills as they enhance their confidence and self belief.

Every skill is taught, explained and demonstrated to each individual.

Groups are kept small to enable one-to-one tuition and creates a good friendly working atmosphere. Everyone interacts with each other and we help in our critiques with the artwork helping to build confidence levels and bonding within the group.

WORKSHOPS

My aim is to help students to develop skills in an encouraging and supportive atmosphere.

I have workshops covering half days, evenings and whole day. I tailor the tuition according to the abilities of participants.

I am your mentor and will ensure hat all members produce lovely art work they will be proud of.

There can be project work, exercises and I will do short demonstrations of technique and style.

I encourage all members to do artworks of what they want to do.

3 Hour workshops take place on:

• Monday - 1pm - 4pm,
• Wednesday - 9:15am - 12:15pm and 1pm - 4pm,
• Saturday - 9:15am - 12:15pm 
• Flexible times can be arranged. 

​Tea / Coffee / Refreshments will be available free throughout the workshop

The cost per person is £10.00 for 3 hours.

• Art Group Workshops
  • These can be either 1 or 2 days
  • Held at my studio (max 14 people) or at the art groups own venue (max 25 people)
  • Cost depends on numbers and duration. Please get in touch for more information
• Demonstrations by myself at my studio
  • 3 Hour session including "Hands On" practical elements
  • 2 to 3 hours session including "Hands On" practical elements at the art groups venue
• **NEW** Natural History Art
  • Studying and drawing British insects including:
    • Dragonflies/Damselflies
    • Bees
    • Butterflies and Moths including metamorphosis
    • Wide variety of insects 

​​Using a mix of microscopes, specimens and macro photography to study the anatomical beauty of these impressive insects field studies whenever possible.

DEMO'S AT WORKSHOP

I have always been pleased to do live art demonstrations on how to use pastel and mixed medium or pencil in my unique style of paintings and drawing animals and wildlife.

These demonstrations can be arranged with art groups, art material suppliers or art education centres.

They can be either at the society or education venue or at my studio.

Costs -

• At my studio £120.00 per group (max 30 people)
• At an alternative venue £120.00 + travel

STUDIO HIRE

The studio can be made available for hire occasionally during the week.

These can be for private art demonstrations or for a small group to do their art work.
